As our principal financial adviser, Chris has a wealth of experience within the industry.  As the
company’s most senior adviser, he provides advice on all aspects of financial planning.  He has been
in the industry for more than 30 years and has held several senior positions with a number of high-
profile financial institutions throughout his career.   Having been appointed as a Director at
Sheafmoor in 1999 & subsequently Managing Director in 2008, for many years, he combined the
roles of practice management and that of adviser to his many long standing clients.

Following the acquisition of Sheafmoor Adviser Services Holdings Group
‘ASHL’) in March 2023, Chris stepped down as Managing Director but continues to act as a highly
qualified financial specialist. He is particularly passionate about utilising cash flow modelling for his
clients.  This being a tool that enables advisers to build the planning processes and meetings around
clients’ specific needs. It allows clients to genuinely understand that the planning process is bespoke
to their goals and aspirations.

Chris has been awarded many industry awards throughout his career and is a well- known and
respected speaker at industry events.

Outside of the business, Chris - who is married to Lynne - is a loving father to four daughters and
grandfather to eight grandchildren (which is why, he says, he is still working !).  Chris also has a
passion for Sheffield United being a season ticket holder and also describes himself as a bit of a
petrol head and music lover.
